When I last saw you, we were about to write compare/contrast essays in class, before the flooding hit.
1. ASSIGNMENT: As per the notes we looked at in class here: http://bit.ly/cT66rF please complete your compare/contrast essay and e-mail it to me no later than NOON, Friday, Nov. 18.

2. STUDY: Our next chapter is about paraphrasing and summarizing. Both are techniques for rewriting something, often when doing research and using other people's ideas. Read the chapter and do the practice exercises. 3. READ: My summary lecture notes.
I will e-mail everyone again Friday with a paraphrasing/summarizing assignment/homework.
Given the circumstances, I want all of you to know that I have a lot of free time right now, and I am here to help you. SO DON'T BE SHY!
